Some of the funniest moments with Benjamin are after nap time. He sings and talks to the animals on his bumper pad while he waits for me to get him out of the crib.

Mom, get your fingers out of my mouth...I can bite with my 2 new teeth. He cut one tooth on Thursday of last week and the second came in on Saturday while I was at work. He really likes to chomp down on anything within reach. I have tried to snag a picture but he is a very private fellow...
Benjamin went for his 6 month check-up today (and shots!) Last month, when she measured his height, he tilted his head back and measured taller than today.

50th percentile in weight--17 lbs. 6 oz. (6.5 oz. growth since last month)
50th percentile in height--26 1/4 inches (shrunk 3/4 of an inch)

Happy Birthday, Pappaw!

Benjamin and I took Pappaw a birthday present for his 80th birthday. I made him a banana pudding, one of his favorites. While I was "cleaning" the bowl (with my spatula and tasting it) Ben was bouncing in his jumpy seat. I started toward him with the spatula and he opened his mouth wide for a taste.

What a Big boy

Ben went to the doctor today...Dr. Joe says everything looks great and we get to start more foods. Vegetables and different kinds of cereal for his 5th month. I don't think Matt will taste test those before giving them to Benjamin. Onto the serious stuff..

Weight 50th to 75th percentile...16 lbs. 15 1/2 oz. (gained 1lb, 5 oz in a month).

Height (watch out Pappy and G) 90th percentile...27 inches (grown 1 3/4 inches in a month).

Look where they pricked my finger at the doctor's office (he later tried to eat the Band-Aid)

Christmas

Benjamin's first Christmas was action-packed. I was supposed to work Christmas Eve, but when I got there that morning, they sent me home!! I was so excited. Sorry the update is late, but I had to work the 2 days after Christmas too. I have just now recovered and am blogging again.


We celebrated with Matt's family the Friday night before Christmas since Susan and I both had to work the weekend and Christmas Eve.

Christmas Day--we got to "sleep in", Ben didn't get up until 7am (he normally gets up at 6am). We spent some time at home...

Santa came...he even left something for Matt and I..
