15 month check-up

Ben had a pediatrician appointment this morning and also received one vaccination. He looks great!
Weight: 25 1/2 lbs. (between 50th and 75th percentile)
Height: 30 3/4 inches (around 50th percentile)

After the Farm

Our neighbors, David and Shelia, provide all the kids with drinks and snacks year round. He has been asking me for over a year what Benjamin would want to drink. I guess Ben has chosen Orange Crush as his beverage of choice. David also lets Ben pick apples off the tree and eat them (he doesn't think the apples are balls anymore). I have been assured that Ben didn't really drink out of the can and that these pictures are posed....

I don't think he drank much based on the amount on his shirt!

Boo at the Farm

We are so glad that we got to go to Fran's family's farm this morning. We had a wonderful time. Ben was dressed as a cow...very appropriate for the farm party! For those who do not know, Benjamin loves cows and calls them "buuh". He nearly jumped into the pin with the cow so Fran lowered him into it and he was mesmerized. He also climbed the fence. Thanks for inviting us!

Baby Shower

We had a baby shower for my cousin Amy on Saturday morning. She is having a girl, Audrey Lynn, in January. We had a wonderful time planning and hosting the shower. Thankfully, Susan watched Ben so that there weren't balls flying...

Little Reader

Benjamin loves to read. When I was pregnant, I would tell Matt to read aloud so that Ben would know his voice. Well, the "Larry the Cable Guy" book wasn't exactly what I had in mind, but Ben still likes to read and likes Matt's voice! He may be a book worm like me!

Burns

The last couple of days have been very busy here. Matt burned his hand on Wednesday afternoon so we spent a few hours in the ER to get him checked out. I haven't actually taken a picture of his hand, but let's just say that Halloween is a month early. His fingernails are orange. While in the ER, Amy called to tell me that Benjamin had a temperature. So I took him to the pediatrician yesterday morning and he has an infection in his eye from having allergies with a runny nose. Not pinkeye, but we get to use eye drops and oral antibiotics, too (his first dose of antibiotics). Matt is feeling some better and Ben is talking. His newest words are "oh, boy", "ball", "ohohohoh" (all the way home from this little piggy),and his shoes actually do have a ball on them.
