Happy Birthday Kennedy!

Kennedy, my niece, celebrated her 10th birthday on Tuesday. She planned a menu for her birthday dinner at my Mom and Dad's house. Courtney even came for a visit.

Kennedy getting ready to open her presents. Benjamin is going to supervise.
Wow, what is all this stuff?
Watch me, I can be a helper!!

Just watching all the action with Pappy

7 months old

Benjamin was 7 months old on Sunday. He is now "creeping", which is a modified army crawl with his belly on the floor. He can get anywhere very quickly. He can sit up from lying down which is wonderful until bedtime and you find him sitting in the corner of the crib, laughing at you. This morning, I found him at the front door, went to get my camera and he was STANDING at the steps. We have 17 steps going from down to upstairs--now freshly equipped with gates.

Sorry I haven't updated lately, but I am finally recovered from the flu. Benjamin and Matt have remained unscathed, but Ben has a little runny nose. Here are a few pics that I have taken lately.

Mammaw made Ben some new woobies. He's giving it the official taste test now. Benjamin sleeps with these and covers his head with them when he gets tired. It's like a little test if he is fussy. You can give him his woobie and pacifier and he will close his eyes if he is sleepy. When he is awake, he chews on them.
Pappaw and Benjamin. We walked to Mammaw and Pappaw's house on Monday afternoon for a visit.
Ben's new hiding spot under the coffee table
Wonder what is under there?

Trying out his first finger foods. More on the floor than in his mouth!
Almost made it to the mouth
I don't think he is too sure of what that is...
I think we will put the finger foods up for a few more weeks. I think this shows how little he cared for them.
Ben is an all wheel driver...climbing onto everything
Benjamin is cheering on the Vols. I was doing some chores and it got terribly quiet...he obviously had the newspaper.

Mommy's sick....

FLU!! So much for the flu shot. My Dr. prescribed Tamiflu. He even gave a prescription to Matt so hopefully he won't get it. Here is the downside...Ben is too young for Tamiflu. I am supposed to be away from Ben until I haven't run a fever for 48 hours. Hopefully, I will feel like playing Mommy again by Tuesday. Please pray that Benjamin doesn't get the flu. It is really hard to be in the same house with him and not play with him. He obviously doesn't understand that mommy can't hold him, feed him, etc. Thanks Aunt Amy for taking him Thurs and Friday...and the nearly naked blog pics to prove it...

While Daddy Daycare is in session, toys that were still in boxes get put together. Look at Ben's new car walker!!

Snow days

Thanks Ronnie and LeAnn for the sled. I got it out in honor of the snow flurries today...Grammy has her "snowflake" winter trees up, a perfect background for the first sled ride.

Look, it even has a seatbelt!!

Waiting...
My first toothbrush
A little glimpse of the pearly whites, blurry, but there
I'm getting the hang of it, now

Ben, Nonny, Grammy, and I had some pictures taken today. They "gave" us a CD with all the pictures they took...143 pictures and an hour and a half later, we came home with them. Here are a few that they took..
